Pras began his music career in the early 1990s as a member of the hip hop group Fugees, alongside Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill. The Fugees’ second album, “The Score,” released in 1996, became a critical and commercial success, selling over 17 million copies worldwide.
After the Fugees disbanded, Pras Michel launched a solo career and released his debut album, “Ghetto Supastar,” in 1998. The album’s title track, which featured Ol’ Dirty Bastard and Mýa, became a massive hit and earned Pras his first Grammy nomination. His second album, “Win Lose or Draw,” was released in 2005.
Acting Career
In addition to his music career, Pras Michel has also dabbled in acting, with appearances in films such as “Mystery Men” and “Higher Learning.” He also produced and starred in the 2008 documentary film “Skid Row.”
